This Privacy Policy describes how and why we processes the personal information you provide on our websites and related sub-domain sites, our mobile and social media platforms and applications (collectively, the Sites), and information you provide during events such as trade shows. It also describes your available options regarding our use of your personal information gathered either from your use of our Sites or through other related business activities (e.g., industry events you attended, related third party sites you visited and shared your information with) and how you can access and update this information.
2. What Personal Information We Collect and for What Purposes
This Privacy Policy informs you of the supplier’s policies with respect to personal information processed by them through the use of our Sites. Information Collection The personal information we collect is organized into the following two categories: Category 1: information relating to you which you voluntarily submit during your use of the Sites or other activities such as a trade show we participate in which may include, e.g., your first and last name, address, telephone number, email address, company name, or billing information. Purposes for collection of Category 1 information: establishing and verifying your identity; opening, maintaining, administering, and servicing your accounts; providing services and support to you including responding to your questions, comments, and instructions; processing, servicing, or enforcing transactions and sending related communications to you; providing product or service updates, promotional notices and offers, and other information about ours and our affiliates including (where we have a lawful basis to do so) sending you marketing communications; providing services on Social Media and Mobile Platforms and through our applications. This includes the information described in our Cookie Policy. Such information is collected to the extent necessary to enable you access to all the functionality of the Sites and to help give you the best possible experience of the Sites. The purposes for collection of Category 2 information: improving the Sites, including tailoring them to your preferences; complying with our Cookie Policy; presenting digital advertisements to you on third party online locations; maintaining the security and integrity of our systems including protecting our systems from fraud and unlawful access; General Use of Information We may use the personal information collected through the Sites for the following general purposes: sharing necessary information with our affiliates for the purpose of managing our globally organized business structure; in relation to a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets; to enforce the Terms of Use or other policies applicable to the Sites; compliance with legal requirements, such as in response to an authorized subpoena; to protect the rights, property, life, health, security, and safety of individuals; and fulfilling any other purposes consistent with our statements under this Privacy Policy or disclosed at the time you provide personally identifiable information to us. Vital interests Our processing may be necessary to protect the vital interests of an individual or some other natural person: e.g., to protect the rights, property, life, health, security, and safety of individuals.
4. Recipients / Disclosure of Information
Internal Use The personal information you voluntarily submit to us during your use of the Sites will be placed into our customer relationship management (CRM) system. We may access that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, provided that the access is lawful. Because of our global organization structure, our CRM system is accessible to all our affiliates worldwide as set out in the section 13 (Information Security) below. External Use We will only disclose your personal information to a third party if such disclosure is in accordance with this Privacy Policy and provided that it is lawful to do so. We conduct an appropriate level of due diligence and put in place any necessary contractual documentation that may be required to ensure compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations. We may use the information you provide to us (or which we observe about you from your interactions with the Sites, your email communications, and/or your interactions with our products and services) to contact you about us, our affiliates, or our products and services. 6. Information Retention
We will keep your personal information in accordance with our retention policies but will not keep it for longer than is necessary. In general, we will keep your personal information for the duration our business relationship with you and for a certain period afterwards. Our Sites may include social media features or links to social media sites.
